Our Lunch for the Day will be prepared by Big Rick’s Jamaican Flavor Restaurant in Kanagawa. The Main Chef is Ricardo Gross. Born in Kingston, Jamaica and growing up with his mother and grandmother, there was no way Ricardo could escape not knowing everything about cooking from a young age. He could always recall days of his mom making his favorite steam fish and porridge. Upon moving to Japan, Ricardo and his wife wanted to bring the taste of Jamaica and all that he had learnt about cooking from his childhood. He and His wife then opened their restaurant and have been quite successful in Japan for over a year now. Their most loved meals are Oxtail, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken, Brown Stew Chicken, Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork. Ricardo is always cooking, but if he has free time, he prefers to exercise and spend quality time with his wife. For Lunch, there will be three main options.

You can select one of the following

  • Brown Stewed Fish
  • Curry Chicken
  • Jerk Chicken

You will then have the option to select one of following side dish

  • Rice & Peas
  • Steamed Rice

*All meals are served with a salad and small festival. Beverages will be provided throughout the workshop. You will also receive brunch and snacks at the workshop to ensure that you are fully energized to enjoy the day.
